Spring is back

Swallows are  back... They've already winged their way back for a few days now in fact...

Back to the Northern hemisphere... whether here in Spain, whether to Capistrano (Ca), as the song will go...

Back, as the spring is back... 

Swallows have a cosmopolitan distribution, breeding on all the continents except Antarctica. It is believed that they originated in Africa; Africa still has the greatest diversity of species. 

Swallows are considered the animal that travels farther in their migrations, from the North Pole to the South Pole, for more than seventy thousand km on their migration, equivalent to three round trips to the moon in their 30 avg. living years.

Swallows have a meaning of loyalty and fidelity, as they come home every year, no matter where they are. 

As the swallows choose a partner who always accompany them for life, they also have a meaning of love and loyalty to their family. They are faithful animals for life partner.

Many times, sailors tattooed a swallow when returning home safely after fights, shipwrecks, hardships, battles and wars... It was the symbol of victory after the difficulty.

The swallow is also considered as a symbol of freedom and is a totem used by many freed prisoners.
